which iphone has the best camera

You might have seen your friends on social media posting photos with some pretty amazing camera skills. But you're asking yourself, "Which iPhone has the best camera?"

This post is going to reveal the secret to which iPhone has the best camera and will give you everything you need to know about what a good camera actually looks like!

There are many different models of iPhones available for purchase, but in order to find out which one is actually the best for your needs, we need to first know how they all work. Here, I'll explain how each model's cameras work and then I'm going to show you how each model stacks up against one another.

How iPhone Cameras Work

Most of the newer models of iPhone have the same exact type of camera system. They each have a 12 megapixel camera and a 7 megapixel front facing camera. When you snap a photo, the image sensor will gather data for both photos at once, but it will only save one of them when you press your camera's shutter button. The other photo is called a "depth map," which I'll explain further down below. You can take Portrait Mode photos with either the front or back-facing cameras on your iPhone. Portrait Mode essentially uses software to replace the background in your photos with softly blurred versions of what's around you.

You can use the software in your iPhone to take even more spectacular pictures, but that all depends on whether or not you have the latest Apple iOS. For example, if you're using an older version of iOS, the camera setting may not allow you to take photos in Portrait Mode or gain access to some features that are only available on newer versions.

Now let's talk about the different types of cameras available. The iPhone 7 Plus has Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). The iPhone 7 has both OIS and Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS). Both models use both lenses as well as 3D Touch to trigger Portrait Mode. You can check out complete details on the differences in the iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone 7 (Plus) by visiting this Apple blog article:

I'll tell you up front, I'm not an expert when it comes to cameras, but as a photographer, I've used a lot of them. I've tested both the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus with a variety of different lenses and filters to see how each performs. I'll show you how each camera performs in a variety of different situations.

But first, let's talk about the differences between optical and electronic image stabilization. Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) is what all of Apple's most recent devices use before iPhone 7 Plus. By using gyroscope and accelerometer data, EIS keeps your video from shaking around, even if you're moving around a lot. It's a great feature for videos when you are walking or running, but it doesn't work so well for photos… at least not nearly as well as optical image stabilization does.

Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) is what all of Apple's newest devices are using. In optical image stabilization, the lens actually moves to compensate for moving your phone around. It works great for cameras that are on the move, such as sports videos, but not so great for still photos. Bokeh pictures with Portrait Mode photos look better with electronic image stabilization than they do with OIS because you can't see the "shutter" when you're using OIS on your iPhone.
